Recommend this luxury and exceptionally comfortable hotel in an incredible location down to the river. Easy going staff, wonderful views across mountains, everything is nice. The rooms are well laid out and well-maintained with comfy beds and smoke detectors.

The bar area and views were fantastic. Breakfast was included each day and the hotel was close to the ski fields. The room was large and comfortable.

It was a little disapointing that the hotel did not have any hot water while we were staying and as it was in the middle of winter, it made the stay a little uncomfortable. Also, the website did not say exactly how far from town the resort was and we were a little unprepared for the numerous taxi and bus fares to Queenstown. More information on buses/transportation to town would have been appreciated and we incorrectly assumed that there was a shuttle of some sort going into town. Besides that, everything was fine.

The staff at the hotel were, without exception, extremely helpful and attentive. They always had a smile and nothing was too much trouble. Top marks!!!!

I think the spa suite should be available to those staying at the hotel at no extra cost - or perhaps if you stayed two or three nights you got one spa admission for free.

I was very disappointed that e were awoken by someone entering by key into our room at 5am and the following morning returning after a day out to find that the sliding doors were wide open after being locked when we left in the morning.

Well situated to take advantage of the Shotover River and mountain views. Good Dinner menu and food presentation. Away from the crowds in the town.

Didn't really live up to its claimed luxury, boutique status.

    Quietness and surrounding natural beauty.

The fact that you had to pay (by the hour!) extra to use the swimming pool

    fine view
    easy access
    family activities
    limited amenities

The view was fine, overlooking the Shotover River. We loved the easy access to nearby attractions, especially the friendly service at breakfast. There were plenty of activities for the kids.

For dads, it would be great if there were more kid-friendly amenities available.

The staff was very welcoming, helpful and efficient. The hotel is elegant and the river view is beautiful. Breakfast was excellent. It is a bit of a drive to the cbd and tourist attractions, but I would definitely stay there again.

Room location was nice and very roomy

Disapointed with the need to book a time to go to the pool/spa area. Also we booked the presidential suit because it had the spa on the balcony that we never got to use. &Quot;frozen pipes" was the reason. I believe that all features should work all year round or at least advise that it was inoperable so the customer could make a choice of not booking with them specialy if the balcony spa was the reason they booked with them in the first place. Also the main enty looked like a vehicle had crashed through the under cover area recently, peices of the framing left there on the ground and cordoned off. Not very professional.
